How Verification Works
Every public listing starts as unverified. Verification is completed by an authorised representative of the company and reviewed by Steel.Directory.
Claim the profile
An authorised representative opens the company listing and selects “Claim & Verify This Company”.
Create an account
Create a Steel.Directory account or log in to an existing one.
Submit company information
Company legal name, registration number, country, business licence or registration certificate, authorised representative name, company email, official website, telephone, company address and company logo.
Document review
Steel.Directory reviews the submitted documents and may request clarification.
Approval
On approval the company receives a verified badge, a complete profile, a verification ID, a digital verification certificate and a QR code that links to the verified profile.
What you need to verify
To complete verification you will need the company's legal name and registration number, the country and registered business address, a business licence or registration certificate, the name of the authorised representative making the claim, a company email address, the official website, a contact telephone number and a company logo.
Documents are reviewed to substantiate the identity and registration information shown on the profile. Steel.Directory may request clarification or supplementary evidence where the submission is unclear, incomplete or inconsistent.
After approval
Once approved, the profile displays a verified badge, a verification ID, a verification date and an expiry date. The company can download a digital verification certificate that includes a QR code linking back to the public verified profile, so the certificate can be shared and independently checked.
Verification is valid for one year and maintained through an active membership. Before expiry, Steel.Directory sends a renewal reminder to the authorised representative so verification can continue without interruption.
