By accessing or using Steel.Directory (the "service"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you should not use the service. These terms apply to all visitors, registered users, company representatives and advertisers.

Some features, such as claiming a company profile, verification, membership and advertising, may be subject to additional conditions. Where a specific agreement applies, it supplements these terms and controls in the event of a conflict.

Steel.Directory is a global directory of steel industry companies — mills, manufacturers, traders, stockists, processors, fabricators and service providers. The directory begins as a public index compiled from published sources, and every listing is marked unverified until an authorised representative claims the profile and completes verification.

The service is provided for general information and reference purposes. It is not a trading platform, a credit reference agency, a brokerage, or a regulated financial or insurance service.

Steel.Directory publishes a public index of steel industry companies. Listings are provided for information only and do not constitute an endorsement or a recommendation to transact with any listed company.

Listing information is compiled from published sources and from companies themselves. Steel.Directory does not warrant that any listing is complete, current or error free, and we are not responsible for the accuracy of information supplied by third parties or by listed companies.

A listing's presence in the directory does not mean the company is active, reputable, solvent or suitable for any particular transaction.

Information in the directory is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Steel.Directory does not warrant that listings are accurate, complete, current or fit for a particular purpose, and disclaims liability for errors, omissions or interruptions to the service.

Visitors should always perform their own due diligence before relying on any listing information or entering into any transaction.

Verification reviews specified company identity and business registration information. It does not guarantee product quality, creditworthiness, payments, transactions or commercial performance. See the verification policy for the full scope and limitations of verification.

A verified badge is a statement that Steel.Directory reviewed identity and registration information at a point in time. It is not an ongoing monitoring of the company and does not represent any assurance about its current or future conduct.

Memberships are annual, billed per company, and cover profile depth, visibility and verification maintenance. Membership tiers, features and pricing are described on the membership page and may change from time to time.

Membership is a listing product. Paid members are not classified as trusted sellers and membership is not a commercial endorsement, a credit opinion, a guarantee of performance, or a recommendation to transact.

Membership fees are non-refundable except where required by law or where expressly stated in a specific agreement. Cancellation stops renewal; it does not automatically refund the current period.

Paid placements are sold separately from membership and verification and are always labelled "Sponsored". Advertising does not affect verification decisions, search relevance for non-advertised listings, or the editorial independence of the directory.

Sponsored placements are not an endorsement of the advertiser and must comply with applicable law, including honesty in advertising and disclosure of material connections. Steel.Directory reserves the right to refuse or remove any advertisement.

You agree to use the service lawfully and in a way that does not impair the operation of the directory or the rights of others. Automated scraping, bulk extraction, harvesting, resale or republication of directory data, and attempts to access non-public areas or systems, are not permitted.

You must not submit false, misleading or fraudulent information in a claim, verification request, membership or advertisement, and must not impersonate another company or representative.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under your account. Steel.Directory may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms or that is associated with fraudulent or abusive activity.

By submitting information, documents or a company logo for a listing, claim or advertisement, you confirm that you have the right to do so and that the content does not infringe the rights of any third party. You grant Steel.Directory a licence to display, reproduce and use the content as needed to operate the directory and the features described in these terms.

Steel.Directory may remove or restrict content that is unlawful, misleading, infringing or otherwise inconsistent with these terms.

The directory, its design, compiled listings and original content are owned by Steel.Directory or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Verified certificates, badges and verification IDs may not be reproduced, altered or used outside the verified profile without permission.

The service may link to third-party websites, including company websites listed in the directory. Steel.Directory does not control and is not responsible for the content, accuracy or practices of any third-party site. Accessing third-party sites is at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Steel.Directory disclaims liability for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising from your use of, or reliance on, the service or any listing, including any transaction entered into with a listed company.

Steel.Directory's aggregate liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the preceding twelve months, or where no amount has been paid, to a nominal sum, to the extent permitted by law.

You agree to indemnify and hold Steel.Directory harmless from claims, losses and damages arising from your use of the service, your content, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by revising the date on this page. Continued use of the service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
